City Manager Appointment
Summary
Casper just hired Laramie’s city manager to run its own city. That’s a big deal because this person controls day-to-day operations, budgets, and services—so their priorities will shape what residents actually get.

Impact analysis
There’s no headline cost yet, but the new manager’s contract and budget choices will steer how Casper spends taxpayer money.
Casper residents and city staff could benefit if the new manager brings stable leadership and sharper budget and service decisions.
No groups are clearly harmed at this point, though Laramie loses its manager and Casper will go through a leadership transition.
